The mission of Computer Engineering program is to educate engineers by expanding knowledge and developing new methods/capabilities for solving complex technological problems through innovation in various domains of Computer Engineering e.g. digital design, networking and signal processing.

It gives me immense pleasure and pride to introduce the department and its website. Computer Engineering is the most flourishing discipline that cultivates at the cross road of new trends in computer science and electrical engineering. The aim of the department is to pursue excellence in Computer Engineering through teaching and research and we are achieving our objectives with the help of our highly qualified and distinguished faculty of national and international repute.
Department of Computer Engineering is committed to excellence in teaching, research and inculcating a sense of pride and confidence in our students. We target to enhance not only their academic knowledge but to nurture their practical skills and provide professional grooming so that our students are ready to serve as they join industry and provide valuable contribution. For this purpose, the department arranges various guest lectures, workshops and ethnical training by industrial professionals so that they come-up as thorough professionals and inspiring individuals. The students have access to state-of-art teaching and research labs, modern teaching aids and one of the well-resourced library in the country.
The department gives prime focus to research activities which is evident from the number of publications that our department produces every year in renowned international conference and indexed journals. Among the multiple areas of research our department includes but not limited to Biomedical Imaging; Content-based indexing and retrieval of images and videos; Natural language Processing; Intelligent Systems; Embedded Systems; Multi-lingual Optical Character Recognition and Robotics. The faculty members and students are active members of various research groups including Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), Robotics, BIOmetrics, Medical Imaging, and Signal Analysis (BIOMISA) etc.
